This unit

The Agilent 6269B is a 2 kW DC power supply in the 6200 Series. It covers 0–40 V output at up to 50 A continuous, with automatic crossover between constant voltage and constant current modes. This is the workhorse bench and rack power supply used across production test, burn-in, and component characterization in labs that need high current at moderate voltage. Key Specs Output Voltage: 0–40 V DC Output Current: 0–50 A DC Output Power: 2000 W Load Regulation (CV): 0.01% + 2 mV Load Regulation (CC): 0.01% + 5 mA Ripple and Noise (CV): 1 mV rms typical Ripple and Noise (CC): 3 mA rms typical Programming: Front panel only (non-programmable GPIB variant) Protection: OVP, OCP, reverse voltage diode Form Factor: Rack-mount, 3U The 6269B auto-crosses between CV and CC without configuration. Set your voltage and current limits, connect your load, and it handles the transition automatically. This makes it safe for loads that swing between resistive and low-impedance states during testing. The front panel has individual voltage and current controls with coarse and fine adjust on each. Output enable is a latching pushbutton. OVP trips at a user-set threshold and requires manual reset, which prevents accidental overvoltage from propagating through a sequence. Originally sold as the HP 6269B, the unit later carried Agilent branding following the Hewlett-Packard instrument spinoff. The hardware is identical across both names. This unit was pulled from a working lab setup, output verified at rated voltage and current, and tested at our Downingtown, PA facility before listing. Is the 6269B GPIB programmable? No. The 6269B is a manually controlled analog supply. If you need a programmable version with GPIB or LAN interface, look at the 66xxx or 663x series from Keysight. Contact us if you need help sourcing a programmable alternative. What is the difference between the HP 6269B and Agilent 6269B? Nothing functionally. HP spun off its test and measurement division as Agilent in 1999. The 6269B design did not change. Both names refer to the same hardware. Can it run two supplies in series for higher voltage? Yes, with isolation precautions. The output is floating and can be connected in series with a second supply to double the voltage range. Maximum floating voltage is limited by the safety rating of the chassis. Verify the specification for your application before doing this.
