What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site owner about how the site is being used. Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies); others are set by third-party services we use (third-party cookies).
How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
Cookies we set
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes users; tracks sessions and pages viewed for site analytics. | Analytics | 2 years (_ga); 13 months (_ga_*) |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users; expires after 24 hours. | Analytics | 24 hours |
| amt_cart | Aumictech (first-party) | Stores RFQ cart contents in localStorage between page loads. | Functional | Session (localStorage, not a cookie) |
| sb-* | Supabase (auth) | Stores authentication session tokens for signed-in users. | Strictly necessary | Session / 1 week |
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. The links below explain how to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
To opt out of Google Analytics tracking specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any website using GA.
Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (authentication) will prevent you from signing in to your account. Disabling all cookies will not prevent you from browsing the inventory or viewing product listings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy when we add new services or change how we use existing ones. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted in the site's blog or via a notice on the site.
