This unit
The Acromag IP330 is a 16-bit analog-to-digital input module in the Industry Pack form factor. It converts analog voltage inputs to digital values at 16-bit resolution across multiple input ranges and delivers results to the host carrier card over the IP bus. It is built for industrial data acquisition where you need high resolution and channel density in a compact module.
Key Specs
Resolution: 16-bit ADC
Input Channels: 16 differential or 32 single-ended (software selectable)
Input Ranges: ±10 V, ±5 V, 0–10 V, 0–5 V (per channel, software programmable)
Conversion Rate: Up to 200 ksps aggregate
Input Impedance: >1 MΩ
Overvoltage Protection: ±35 V (powered), ±20 V (unpowered)
Interface: ANSI/VITA 4 Industry Pack
Power: +5 V from carrier card
Operating Temp: 0–70°C
Each channel is individually programmable for input range through software — you do not need to set jumpers or modify hardware to change ranges between channels. Differential and single-ended configurations are set in software as well.
The IP330 connects to any ANSI/VITA 4 compliant Industry Pack carrier card. Common carriers include the Acromag APC8620, SBS IP-Express, and National Instruments SCXI-based IP modules. The IP bus delivers commands and receives conversion results at carrier speeds; the IP330 itself does not include onboard memory or FIFO — conversion data is transferred synchronously.
Industry Pack modules are popular in VME and VXI systems where you need to mix analog and digital I/O in a single slot by stacking IP modules on a carrier.
This unit was verified for power-on and basic ADC functionality at our Downingtown, PA facility before listing.
What carrier card does the IP330 require?
Any ANSI/VITA 4 compliant IP carrier. Acromag's own APC8620 (VME, 6-slot IP carrier) is the most common match. The IP330 is also compatible with Tews, SBS, and GreenSpring IP carriers.
How many IP330 modules can I stack?
This depends on the carrier. A standard 6U VME IP carrier typically accommodates four IP modules per slot. Each IP330 occupies one IP site.
Is the IP330 supported in LabVIEW?
Acromag provides a Windows driver and example code. LabVIEW integration requires using the Acromag Windows DLL through a LabVIEW DLL Call node or an Acromag-supplied VI library. Contact us for current driver availability.
