The Anritsu MT9090A is a modular optical channel checker system that delivers field-verified optical power and wavelength measurements across CWDM/DWDM networks. Built on an interchangeable mainframe architecture, it accepts multiple specialized modules - optical channel analyzer, µOTDR, and Gigabit Ethernet - enabling technicians to configure a single platform for diverse testing requirements. The MU909020A optical channel analyzer measures and monitors power and wavelength across all 18 CWDM channels per ITU-T G.694.2 standards, with ±1 nm wavelength accuracy and a ±6.5 nm passband.


Ready for measurement in approximately 15 seconds with no moving parts, it delivers cost-effective CWDM verification without the complexity of traditional optical spectrum analyzers. The system features a high-resolution color display and graphical user interface for rapid data interpretation across field environments. Threshold testing - pre-stored or user-defined per ITU-T G.695 - enables Go/No Go validation.


Long-term characterization is supported through integrated drift functions. Battery operation provides 4 hours of continuous testing per charge, ensuring extended field deployment without external power.
