The HP/Agilent 66311D is a DC power supply engineered for high-throughput automated testing in digital wireless communications. It delivers 0–15 V at 0–3 A continuous output, with peak current capability to 5 A for up to 7 ms, and supports current sinking to 2.8 A for battery charger validation. The unit features a built-in digital voltmeter (DVM) and automatic open-sense detection to prevent improper remote voltage settings and ensure accurate device under test calibration. Rapid transient response - recovering to within 20 mV of final value in less than 35 µs following 0.1–1.5 A load steps - minimizes voltage dip (70 mV) during pulsed current demands typical of modern digital devices.
