This unit

The Anritsu ML2419A is a power meter range calibrator engineered to verify measurement channels in Anritsu ML2400A Series Power Meters. It delivers a stable, accurate reference signal at 50 MHz and 0 dBm (1.000 mW) to ensure measurement reliability in metrology and calibration facilities. Remote control via the power meter enables fully automated calibration workflows.

Technical Specifications Reference Signal Output

Nominal frequency: 50 MHz

Reference power level: 0 dBm / 1.000 mW

Output connector: Front panel 50 Ω precision N-type (female)

Output accuracy: ±1.2 % per year

Frequency accuracy: <1 % Signal Channel Ranges The ML2419A provides voltage testing across five overlapping ranges, spanning +7 dB to −70 dB relative to 1.0 V:

Range 1: +7 dB to −12 dB (DC voltage)

Range 2: −11 dB to −28 dB (DC voltage)

Range 3: −25 dB to −44 dB (250 Hz chopped voltage)

Range 4: −41 dB to −58 dB (250 Hz chopped voltage)

Range 5: −56 dB to −70 dB (250 Hz chopped voltage) Ranges 3, 4, and 5 employ 250 Hz voltage chopping to minimize offset and drift errors. The power meter applies a 309.5 gain factor in chopped-mode operation. Testing covers maximum and minimum power levels per range, except Range 5, which tests at maximum and 30 % of maximum. Adjacent ranges overlap, allowing single-voltage testing at boundary dB levels. Connectivity & Control

Sensor A connector: 12-pin circular precision connector for 1.5 m power sensor cables

Remote operation via power meter menu system Power Supply

Weight: 2.2 kg (4.84 lb)

Key Features

Five calibration ranges with overlapping coverage from +7 dB to −70 dB

Dual operational modes: DC voltage (Ranges 1–2) and 250 Hz chopped voltage (Ranges 3–5)

N-type RF output for direct sensor calibration reference

Full remote control integration with ML2400A Series power meters

Compact benchtop form factor

Typical Applications

Power meter range verification and calibration traceability

Sensor signal channel testing across dynamic power ranges

Automated calibration procedures in standards labs

Periodic validation of RF power measurement systems

Compatibility & Integration The ML2419A integrates directly with Anritsu ML2400A Series Power Meters via the 12-pin sensor connector and can be controlled entirely through the power meter's menu interface, eliminating the need for separate control hardware.
