This unit

The Keysight N9915A FieldFox is a handheld microwave analyzer operating from 5 kHz to 9 GHz, combining cable and antenna analysis, spectrum analysis, and vector network analysis in a single portable instrument. Designed for field deployment, it delivers cable and antenna characterization including return loss, VSWR, Smith Chart display, and Distance to Fault measurement. The spectrum analyzer section provides 100 dB dynamic range with -162 dBm typical DANL at 9 GHz in 1 Hz RBW, along with adjustable resolution and video bandwidths from 1 Hz to 5 MHz across 32 steps. Vector network analysis capabilities include S-parameter measurement (S11, S21) with magnitude, phase, and calibration support. A built-in signal generator delivers -10 dBm to 0 dBm output with ±1.0 dB typical accuracy. The 6.5-inch color LCD (640 x 480 pixels) supports up to 4 traces with multiple trace operations: Average, Max Hold, Min Hold, Normal, and Blank. Frequency resolution reaches 1 Hz with ±1 ppm accuracy at 25°C and ≤5 ppm/year stability. Amplitude accuracy is ±0.5 dB typical; phase accuracy ±5 degrees typical. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 4 hours of typical operation with <30 W power consumption. Power input accepts 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz via external adapter. RF connectivity uses N-Type female connectors on Port 1 and Port 2. Data management includes internal memory and USB 2.0 connectivity for external flash drive storage. Third-order intercept measures +12 dBm typical; intermodulation distortion -70 dBc typical at -20 dBm output power.
