The Keysight / Agilent / HP 3235X Processor Card is a replacement component that is the control and logic hub for the HP 3235 Switch/Test Unit. This processor card manages instrument interfacing, signal routing, and system coordination between test instrumentation and devices under test within modular switching and measurement systems.
Technical Specifications The 3235X operates within a frame-based architecture featuring a ten-slot plug-in module cage per mainframe or extender. Four backplane analog buses provide isolated signal routing between plug-in modules, both within individual frames and across connected extender frames. Two trigger buses support digital trigger signal transfer across the system. The processor card enables HP-IR compatibility, allowing control from multiple computer platforms.

Compatible plug-in modules include the HP 3235Y HPIB Interface Module, HP 3235Z Analog Bus Access Module, HP 34520 6.5 Digit Multimeter Module, HP 34522 Digital I/O Module, and HP 34550A Switch Unit Fluorescent Display Module. The Quick Interconnect Fixture (HP 34591A) works with the processor card to streamline external cabling management.
