This unit
The Arcom APC Computer is a single-board computer engineered for embedded systems in industrial control, data acquisition, and communication applications. It delivers configurable processor options
AMD SC520 at 133 MHz, AMD K6-2 at 300 MHz, or Intel Pentium 4/Celeron variants - paired with scalable memory architectures supporting up to 64 MB SDRAM or 2 GB DDR SDRAM depending on model. The platform integrates flash storage up to 16 MB, IDE hard disk support, and optional battery-backed SRAM.
Connectivity spans four high-speed UARTs (RS-232, RS-422/485, TTL), 10/100 BaseTx Ethernet, and extensive expansion via PC/104 format compatibility with 10 legacy ISA slots and 4 PCI revision 2.2 slots. Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to +70°C across standard models, with Panel PC variants rated 0°C to +50°C. Power supplies scale from 100 W to 450 W depending on configuration, with input acceptance of 95–250 V AC (50–60 Hz) or 11–32 V DC.
The platform runs DOS 6.22 through Windows XP Embedded and includes embedded BIOS 4.3 with onboard reprogramming capability and programmable watchdog timer functionality (32–492 seconds).

Arcom APC — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Arcom APC. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Arcom APC faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.
Arcom APC price
This Arcom APC is listed at $1,505. Calibration is available separately from $450. Contact us for volume pricing or if you need multiple units.
Arcom APC calibration cost
NIST-traceable calibration for the Arcom APC is $450 (standard — pass/fail certificate and calibration sticker) or $650 (full measured data at every test point, reference standards documented, traceability chain included). Calibration for this instrument covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification.
