This unit

The Fluke 8000A is a 3.5-digit digital multimeter engineered for general-purpose electronic testing and troubleshooting across DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current, AC current, and resistance measurements. The instrument delivers 0.1% basic DC accuracy and features a 7-segment LED display with 7.62 mm character height, full-scale readout of 1999 (1199 on 1200V ranges), and automatic polarity detection. Push-button controls enable straightforward range and function selection, while self-locating decimal point and self-zeroing functions eliminate offset uncertainties.

Fluke 8000A — Repair & Calibration Service

Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Fluke 8000A. Calibration covers DC voltage accuracy at all ranges, AC voltage (True RMS) accuracy at 50 Hz, 1 kHz, and 10 kHz, DC current accuracy, resistance accuracy at all decade ranges, frequency accuracy, and diode test voltage. Fluke 87V and 289 also include capacitance and temperature calibration.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.

Standard Cal
$450
Pass/fail cert + NIST sticker
Cal with Data
$650
Full NIST cert with measured values

Common Fluke 8000A faults: blown input fuse, worn input jacks, display segment failure, relay contact wear on bench DMMs. Common faults include worn input jacks (banana socket contact wear on the mA and COM terminals), blown input fuses (especially the 440 mA HRC fuse), and display segment failures. Keithley 2000/2001/2002 bench DMMs commonly develop relay contact wear affecting resistance accuracy after extended service.
