This unit

The Keysight (Agilent) CX3322A Device Current Waveform Analyzer is a 2-channel instrument purpose-built for capturing and analyzing low-noise current waveforms with 1 GSa/s sampling and selectable 14-bit or 16-bit resolution. It visualizes current transients and power consumption signatures across device operational states, enabling rapid identification of anomalous behavior in microcontrollers and FPGAs.

Technical Specifications

  • Channels: 2 analog input channels

  • Sampling Rate: Up to 1 GSa/s

  • Resolution: 14-bit (High Speed Mode) or 16-bit (High Resolution Mode)

  • Bandwidth: 50 MHz, 100 MHz, or 200 MHz maximum; upgradable

  • Memory Depth: 4 Mpts/ch, 16 Mpts/ch, 64 Mpts/ch, or 256 Mpts/ch; upgradable

  • Display: WXGA 14.1" capacitive multi-touch screen

  • Operating System: Windows 10

Key Features

  • Low-noise acquisition optimized for current sensor outputs

  • Anomalous waveform analytics for failure diagnosis in MCUs and FPGAs

  • Data Logger mode captures current and voltage waveforms at high sampling rates

  • Flexible triggering: analog channel or Aux sources with positive, negative, or either slope selection

  • Auto Scale function automatically optimizes waveform capture and vertical scaling

  • High Resolution mode selects 16-bit vertical resolution on demand

  • Power measurements enabled via single-channel current sensor with passive probe interface adapter

Typical Applications

  • Device current signature analysis and power consumption profiling

  • Transient current measurement across multiple operational states

  • Failure analysis and anomaly detection in microcontroller and FPGA designs

  • High-resolution current monitoring for low-power and ultra-low-power applications

Compatibility & Integration The analyzer accepts current sensors and passive probe interface adapters on its 2 analog channels. Compatible current sensors include the CX1101A (40 nA to 10 A, 100 MHz, ±40 V), CX1102A (40 nA to 1 A, 100 MHz, ±12 V dual-channel), CX1103A (100 pA to 20 mA, 200 MHz, ±0.5 V), CX1104A, and CX1105A differential sensor. The CX1151A passive probe interface adapter enables power measurement integration.
