The Keysight BT2180A is a breakout board that interfaces the BT2152B Self-Discharge Analyzer with battery cells under test. It has 16 measurement channels via DB37(f) connector and two 16-pin screw terminal blocks, supporting twisted-pair wiring from 16 to 30 AWG. The board enables direct measurement of cell self-discharge current, reducing test duration from weeks or months to 1–2 hours.
By rapidly sorting cells with acceptable self-discharge behavior, the BT2180A supports high-volume lithium-ion manufacturing while optimizing production costs and reducing work-in-process inventory. The board mounts via feet or four standoff holes for integration into test fixtures or cabinets.
