This unit
The Fujikura 50R SM MM Fiber Ribbon Fusion Splicer delivers precise, low-loss splicing of single-mode and multimode fiber ribbons in field and laboratory settings. Cladding alignment with fixed V-grooves ensures repeatable positioning. Two models accommodate 8-fiber (FSM-50R8) or 12-fiber (FSM-50R12) ribbon configurations. Dual CMOS cameras and a 5.6-inch color LCD monitor provide real-time fiber visualization at 49x magnification (FSM-50R8) or 35x (FSM-50R12). Automated fiber loading and arc calibration streamline workflow, while 40 user-programmable splicing modes and AUTO modes for common fiber types enable rapid setup.

Fujikura 50R — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Fujikura 50R. Calibration covers arc calibration (arc power and duration), V-groove alignment verification, cleave angle detection accuracy, splice loss estimation accuracy, and heating oven temperature calibration. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Fujikura 50R faults: electrode wear, V-groove contamination or chipping, motor alignment drift, high arc voltage errors. Common repairs include electrode replacement (typically every 2,000-3,000 arcs), V-groove cleaning or replacement, motor and actuator alignment, and camera/CCD replacement. Fujikura FSM and Sumitomo Type series parts are stocked.
Fujikura 50R price
This Fujikura 50R is listed at $2,679. Calibration is available separately from $450. Contact us for volume pricing or if you need multiple units.
Fujikura 50R calibration cost
NIST-traceable calibration for the Fujikura 50R is $450 (standard — pass/fail certificate and calibration sticker) or $650 (full measured data at every test point, reference standards documented, traceability chain included). Calibration for this instrument covers arc calibration (arc power and duration), V-groove alignment verification, cleave angle detection accuracy, splice loss estimation accuracy, and heating oven temperature calibration.
