This unit
The Fujikura 22S is a compact fusion splicer engineered for field splicing of single-mode and multimode optical fibers. Weighing 1140 g and measuring 120 mm × 189 mm × 72 mm, it delivers active V-groove alignment technology for precise core alignment and low splice loss across multiple fiber types. The unit supports 100 splice modes and 30 heating modes, achieving typical splice times of 9 sec (SM FAST) and 11 sec (SM AUTO). A dual CMOS camera system with 4.73" color LCD provides 132X standard magnification and 200X post-splice magnification for real-time monitoring and quality verification.

Fujikura 22S — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Fujikura 22S. Calibration covers arc calibration (arc power and duration), V-groove alignment verification, cleave angle detection accuracy, splice loss estimation accuracy, and heating oven temperature calibration. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Fujikura 22S faults: electrode wear, V-groove contamination or chipping, motor alignment drift, high arc voltage errors. Common repairs include electrode replacement (typically every 2,000-3,000 arcs), V-groove cleaning or replacement, motor and actuator alignment, and camera/CCD replacement. Fujikura FSM and Sumitomo Type series parts are stocked.
