This unit

The Agilent/Keysight 70311A is a synthesized frequency reference distribution module designed to generate precise clock signals within the Hewlett-Packard Modular Measurement System (MMS) platform. Operating across 16 MHz to 3.3 GHz with 1 Hz step resolution, this four-slot module delivers variable synthesized clock outputs at ±3 dBm into 50 ohm loads. Built for electronic testing and measurement applications, It has the frequency stability and spectral purity demanded by error performance analysis and pattern generation systems.

Common Agilent / Keysight 70311A faults: YIG oscillator failure (no output or loss of lock), step attenuator wear (output drops or steps at set attenuation), ALC loop failure (uncontrolled output power), I/Q modulator assembly failure. HP/Agilent 836xx series most common faults are YIG oscillator failure and step attenuator contact wear causing output steps or drops at specific attenuation settings. Keysight E4428C/E4438C units most commonly develop ALC loop failure and I/Q modulator assembly faults. YIG oscillator replacement and attenuator service are stocked repairs.
