The Astronics/EADS/Racal 1264A is a 6-slot, C-size VXI mainframe designed for rackmount test systems. This lightweight chassis delivers 500 W of usable power from an 800 W auto-ranging supply that automatically selects between 115 V and 230 V input. The pressurized plenum cooling system uses baffling and honeycomb air straighteners to eliminate hot spots, while unique slot blockers prevent airflow diversion through vacant slots. Front panel indicators monitor all seven power supply rails and detect voltage excursions beyond ±10% of nominal (±4% accuracy). Modules recess three inches into the chassis, protecting connectors and cable management. The 1264A accepts optional rackmount kits with slides or ears-only configurations, and supports an aluminum front door for custom connector or display mounting. Over-voltage, over-temperature, over-current, and short-circuit protection safeguard the power delivery system. Easily removable air filters maintain thermal performance in demanding test environments.
