The Astronics/EADS/Racal 1461-14 is a 14-slot 3U PXI mainframe engineered for modular instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems. This compact chassis integrates 3U PXI, 3U CompactPCI, and 111.7 mm mezzanine modules into a single platform, delivering 526 W of distributed power across all slots. The system features dual 112 CFM high-pressure impellers with three selectable cooling modes - automatic high/low speed, manual selection, or temperature-proportional variation - ensuring uniform thermal management for high-power module applications. A universal AC input power supply with automatic voltage and frequency ranging (including 440 Hz capability) pairs with built-in monitoring of power and fan status. Front-panel LED indicators flag power supply failures, while rear-panel connectors enable remote power and fan monitoring. The chassis ships with a carrying handle for portability and tilt feet for benchtop use, with optional rack-mount rails available.
