HP / Agilent 6286A DC POWER SUPPLY 0-20V / 0-10A

The HP/Agilent 6286A is a 0–20 V, 0–10 A DC power supply delivering up to 200 W of output power. This CV/CC (constant-voltage, constant-current) unit features automatic crossover operation, precision 10-turn potentiometers for voltage and current adjustment, and convection cooling in a half-rack form factor. Floating outputs capable of ±120 V from ground enable use as positive or negative sources. Remote sensing and remote programming support integration into automated test systems, while front and rear output terminals provide flexible connectivity. Line and load regulation of 0.01% + 1 mV (voltage) and 0.05% + 1 mA (current) ensure stable output under varying conditions. Voltage ripple and noise measure 500 µV RMS / 5 mV peak-to-peak in CV mode; constant-current ripple is 5 mA RMS across the 20 Hz to 20 MHz bandwidth. A four-position meter-function switch displays voltage or current at X1 and X0.1 ranges. The series-regulator, SCR-preregulator topology optimizes efficiency while maintaining thermal stability. Input power is rated at 320 W maximum (5.5 A at 105–125 VAC, 50–60 Hz; 230 VAC option available). Advanced features include auto-series, auto-parallel, and auto-tracking capability for system expansion. Options for rack mounting and internal overvoltage protection (crowbar) are available.
