This unit
The Agilent 8757E is a scalar network analyzer delivering magnitude and phase measurements across 10 MHz to 110 GHz, with coaxial coverage to 50 GHz and waveguide extension to 110 GHz. It measures insertion loss, gain, return loss, SWR, power, and noise figure with a 75 dB dynamic range and dual independent display channels. Two independent display channels and three detector inputs enable simultaneous multi-parameter characterization.
The instrument supports ratioed and non-ratioed measurements in both AC (27.778 kHz ±12 Hz modulation) and DC modes, with trace resolutions of 101, 201, or 401 points and minimum sweep times as low as 40 ms. Averaging of up to 256 successive traces and configurable smoothing (0.1% to 20% aperture) reduce noise and improve measurement stability. An internal power meter calibrator option provides ±0.05 dB accuracy at 0 dBm across the +20 to –50 dBm range with ≤1.05 SWR.
