This unit
The Keysight AresONE-S 400GE is a high-density 400 Gigabit Ethernet test platform housed in a 2RU fixed chassis. It delivers 6.4 Tbps of total line-rate traffic generation and supports stackable configurations for scaled testing up to 25.6 Tbps and beyond using the Metronome Timing System. The platform doubles port density versus the previous AresONE 400GE, available in 16-port and 8-port configurations, with both full and reduced performance models.
Field upgrades from reduced to full performance are supported.
Technical Specifications
- Form Factor: 2RU fixed chassis
- Traffic Generation: 6.4 Tbps total line-rate per chassis; stackable and synchronizable for testing up to 25.6 Tbps and beyond

Compatibility & Integration Supports 400GBASE-DR4, 400GBASE-FR4, 400GBASE-LR4, 400GBASE-SR8, and 400G-ZR coherent optics. Active electrical cable support enables PAM4-to-NRZ signal conversion for fan-out configurations.
Agilent / Keysight AresONE-S — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Agilent / Keysight AresONE-S. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Agilent / Keysight AresONE-S faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.
