The CL 1000 was specified in installations requiring the longest reach at 1 Gb/s within the 62.5/125 µm constraints. With 500 MHz·km OFL bandwidth at 850 nm and 1000 MHz·km at 1300 nm, it extends Gigabit Ethernet from the 300 m of InfiniCor 300 to 500 m at 850 nm and 1000 m at 1300 nm.
As with all 62.5/125 µm fiber, this is not a choice for new builds. It is the correct fiber for matching and extending installed plant where the as-built documentation specifies InfiniCor CL 1000 or fiber code CL.
