This unit

The Keysight/Agilent E4361A is a 510 W solar array simulator DC module that emulates photovoltaic array output characteristics for testing and development of solar power systems. Operating as a current source with minimal output capacitance, it rapidly adjusts its I-V curve to simulate environmental conditions including temperature, age, eclipse, and spin effects. The module delivers up to 65 V and 8.5 A in simulator and table modes, with fixed-mode operation rated 0–60 V and 0–8.5 A. Programming accuracy reaches ± (0.075% + 25 mV) for voltage and ± (0.2% + 20 mA) for current in fixed mode. Voltage ripple and noise stay below 20 mV RMS in simulator/table mode and 24 mV RMS in fixed mode (20 Hz to 20 MHz). The module installs in a Keysight E4360A mainframe, which accommodates up to two modules in a 2U rack-mountable enclosure. Three standard interfaces LAN, USB, and GPIB - enable remote control, with full LXI Class C compliance. Over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection safeguard the circuit. The mainframe accepts universal 100–240 VAC input (50/60/400 Hz) with integrated power factor correction. Full 510 W output per module is available when the mainframe receives ≥ 180 VAC; below this threshold, output power limits to 300 W per module with dual modules installed, or remains unrestricted for single-module configurations at 100–180 VAC.
