The Anritsu FP000012 TUNICS-Plus is a benchtop tunable laser source engineered for optical communication testing and component characterization. It delivers mode-hop-free operation across a 150 nm tuning range with 1 pm resolution, ensuring stable and repeatable wavelength output. Available in six versions spanning 1260 nm to 1640 nm, the instrument combines high spectral purity with precise wavelength control - making it essential for research, development, and manufacturing in optical fiber communications.


Technical Specifications

Wavelength accuracy is ±0.04 nm with tuning repeatability of ±0.005 nm. Wavelength stability reaches 5 pm/h (3 pm/h typical) and 5 pm/24h typical. Output power ranges to +10 dBm on select models, easing power budgets and enabling high-dynamic range measurements. Optical performance is defined by Side Mode Suppression Ratio (SMSR) exceeding 40 dB across standard models, with CL and CL/WB variants reaching >45 dB. Tunics Plus E and CL/WB models achieve >50 dB SMSR within specific windows (1280–1320 nm and 1380–1410 nm respectively). Linewidth is typically <145 dB/Hz.
