The EXFO FTB-870 NetBlazer is a multiservice test module that validates Ethernet, SONET/SDH, OTN, Fibre Channel, CPRI/OBSAI, and SyncE/1588 PTP networks across speeds from 10 Mbps to 11.3 Gbit/s. Field technicians deploy this tester for service activation, validation, and maintenance in diverse network environments. Speed Range: 10 Mbps to 11.3 Gbit/s Ethernet Testing: Supports up to 10 Gbit/s with Carrier Ethernet OAM (Y.1731, G.8113.1, MEF, 802.1ag), RFC 6349 TCP throughput validation, EtherSAM (ITU-T Y.1564), and RFC 2544 test suites. Full-line-rate packet capture and advanced filtering included. SONET/SDH Testing: Installation, commissioning, and maintenance capabilities for access and metro networks. Monitors alarms, errors, J0/J1 traces, and path signal label (C2) via 10 Gigabit Ethernet WAN interface with round-trip delay assessment. OTN (ITU-T G.709): Testing to 11.3 Gbit/s with forward error correction (FEC) support. Fibre Channel: Supports 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, and 10x interfaces with full wire-speed traffic generation at FC-2 layer for BER testing and link integrity. CPRI/OBSAI: Validates CPRI rates from 1.2 Gbit/s to 9.8 Gbit/s with BBU/RRH emulation, unframed BER testing, and real-time RF spectrum analysis over CPRI links. SyncE/1588 PTP: Validates SyncE frequency, ESMC messages, clock quality levels, and 1588 PTP packet network synchronization with PTP client emulation. DSn/PDH & ISDN/PRI: Full DS1/E1 primary rate interface testing and troubleshooting support.
