This unit

The IP-16ADC is a single-wide IndustryPack module delivering 16-bit analog-to-digital conversion with flexible input channel configuration. It accepts 16 single-ended or 8 differential input channels - channels can be mixed and paired to form differential inputs. Conversion completes in 8 microseconds with aggregate throughput up to 100,000 conversions per second.


Four software-programmable input ranges (0–5 V, ±5 V, 0–10 V, ±10 V) accommodate diverse signal levels. On-board precision voltage reference maintains 1 ppm/°C stability and 0.01% accuracy. Basic accuracy reaches ±1 LSB with software-triggered auto-calibration; typical ADC and amplifier accuracy is 0.002%.


Input impedance is 60 MΩ. The module operates in single-conversion and continuous-conversion modes with integrated tracking-and-hold circuitry for accurate time-varying signal measurement. Rated for 0° to +70°C operation with ±65 V input protection (powered) and ±80 V (unpowered).


IndustryPack bus operates at 8 MHz with one-cycle write latency and zero-cycle read latency. Fully supports interrupts with two requests per module. ID PROM contains calibration parameters for auto-configuration.
