The Anritsu MU100022A is a single-mode fiber OTDR module for the MT1000A Series Network Master Pro mainframe. Operating at 1310nm, 1550nm, and 1625nm, it delivers dynamic range of 46 dB / 46 dB / 44 dB respectively, with event dead zone of 0.8 m typical and backscatter dead zone ≤3.8 m / 4.3 m / 4.8 m across those wavelengths. The module captures up to 250,001 sampling points with minimum resolution of 2 cm over 300 km distance range, supporting pulse widths from 3 ns to 20,000 ns. Twelve configurable sampling resolutions (0.02 m to 10 m steps) and user-selectable IOR from 1.300000 to 1.700000 enable precise fiber characterization. Light source output power is –5 ±1.5 dBm in CW mode (25°C), with operation modes including CW, 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz. SC/APC connector interface supports ITU-T G.652 10/125 µm single-mode fiber. Distance units include km, m, kft, ft, and mi. The module excels at fault location in PON networks with splitter counts up to 128 branches, long-haul testing to 100 km, and in-service measurements via the 1625nm wavelength. Fiber Visualizer function delivers intuitive graphical Pass/Fail reporting and streamlines test documentation workflows.
