The Keysight N8920A is a 5 kW autoranging DC power supply engineered for demanding automated test equipment (ATE) applications in automotive and industrial environments. This single-output system delivers flexible voltage and current combinations at full 5000 W power rating, functioning as multiple power supplies in one unit. The N8920A reaches 80 V and 170 A maximum ratings, with autoranging output that maintains 5 kW across the entire operating envelope - for example, 80 V at 62.5 A or any proportional combination. Programming accuracy of 0.1% for voltage and 0.2% for current, combined with measurement accuracy of 0.1% and 0.2% respectively, ensures precision in dynamic load testing and complex power condition simulation. Output voltage ripple and noise measures 100 mV peak-to-peak, with load effect of 40 mV from 0% to 100% full load. The unit accepts 187–240 VAC single-phase input (nominal 208 VAC) and occupies 3U of rack space (483 × 133 × 660 mm). Built-in over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection safeguards connected equipment.
