The Digital Lightwave NIC NXG NL81 is a portable multi-protocol test platform for SONET/SDH, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, OTN, and PDH/DSn service validation. This 2-slot chassis integrates modular interface cards supporting rates from 2.6 Gbps to 112 Gbps, enabling technicians to consolidate multiple traditional test sets into a single portable instrument. The platform delivers automated RFC 2544 testing, OTN G.709 analysis with FEC generation and verification, jitter and wander characterization across optical and electrical domains, and DWDM system monitoring via C-Band and L-Band optical spectrum analysis.
