This unit

The Fluke OFTM-5612B Enhanced MultiMode OTDR delivers integrated fiber optic testing, certification, and troubleshooting in a single portable instrument. Built for multimode fiber networks, it combines OTDR analysis, optical power measurement, loss/length certification, and fiber end-face inspection - eliminating the need for multiple tools on the bench or in the field. The unit identifies faults, locates events, measures link attenuation, and verifies compliance with industry standards.

Auto OTDR analysis accelerates diagnostics, while LinkWare PC software manages data, performs analysis, and generates professional reports.

Fluke OFTM-5612B — Repair & Calibration Service

Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Fluke OFTM-5612B. Calibration covers distance accuracy verified against a calibrated fiber length reference, event loss measurement accuracy at splice and connector events, dead zone (event and attenuation) at rated pulse width, dynamic range verification at 1310 nm and 1550 nm, backscatter coefficient calibration, and return loss measurement accuracy. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.

Pass/fail cert + NIST sticker
Cal with Data
$650
Full NIST cert with measured values

Common Fluke OFTM-5612B faults: optical port connector damage or contamination, battery failure, display damage from field use, module failure on FTB or MTS platforms, calibration drift. Most field OTDRs fail due to physical damage. On modular platforms (EXFO FTB, Viavi MTS), individual module failures are serviced without replacing the entire mainframe. Optical port cleaning resolves many apparent measurement faults before mechanical repair is needed.
