The HP/Agilent 4339A High Resistance Meter is a precision instrument designed for accurate measurement of high resistance values and low currents across a range exceeding 16 decades. It delivers stable, safe measurements essential for materials characterization, semiconductor device analysis, and electronic component testing. The meter supports multiple measurement parameters

DC resistance, DC current, surface resistivity, and volume resistivity - with test voltages up to 1000 Vdc and programmable current compliance settings from 0.5 mA to 10 mA.

Common HP / Agilent 4339A faults: GPIB interface board failure, display failure, guard terminal switch contact wear, oscillator calibration drift on older analog bridges. HP 4284A and 4285A most common faults are HPIB interface board failure and display contrast loss. The internal oscillator and vector measurement circuits are highly stable and rarely fail. Wayne Kerr and GenRad bridge instruments may develop switch contact wear on decade resistance/capacitance dials.
