This unit

The Aeroflex / Tektronix / CDS 53A-307 is a relay driver card for the CDSbus 53/63 Series that controls up to 40 independent external relays via ASCII character commands from a system controller. Each output uses Darlington-pair drivers capable of sinking 100 mA and switching external voltages from 1 V DC to 50 V DC. Built-in transient suppression diodes protect all 40 output lines. The card operates from a 5 V DC supply within the 53/63 card cage and draws approximately 0.80 A quiescent current and 0.85 A peak current. Operating temperature range is -10°C to +65°C, with storage rated to -40°C to +85°C. LED diagnostics indicators are provided on the card. Physical dimensions are 197 mm high × 220 mm deep × 13 mm wide. Humidity specifications vary by temperature: <95% RH non-condensing at -10°C to +30°C; <75% RH non-condensing at +31°C to +40°C; and <45% RH non-condensing at +41°C to +55°C. The card requires cooling from the integrated fan within the 53/63 Series Card Cage and mounts as a printed circuit board assembly within the system.
