This unit

The Ando AQ2160-02 is a handheld optical power meter engineered for laboratory and field measurements across fiber optic systems. It delivers precise power readings from –70 to +10 dBm across the 750–1700 nm wavelength range, with ±5% accuracy and 0.01 dB display resolution. The instrument supports single-mode and multimode fiber types, features automatic range switching, and accommodates both continuous-wave and chopped light measurements at 270 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz.

A 4-digit backlit display presents absolute values in dBm, mW, µW, nW or relative measurements in dB. The meter stores up to 1000 standard or 100 user-defined measurement records and operates for approximately 40 hours on two AA alkaline batteries. Measuring 75 × 152 × 32 mm and weighing 250 grams, it conforms to JIS C 0920 TYPE I weatherproofing and includes USB connectivity for data transfer via supplied application software.
