This unit
The Abaco Systems / Condor Engineering CEI520-88 is a PCI bus ARINC interface card that processes avionics databus traffic across up to 16 simultaneous receive and 16 transmit ARINC 429 channels. The card supports multiple avionics protocols including ARINC 717, 419, 561, 571, 573, 575, 582, and CSDB, with dual-mode functionality (HBP or BPRZ) available for ARINC 717/573 configurations. Maximum data throughput flows across all channels simultaneously, backed by intelligent onboard buffering with dedicated and circular buffer modes per receive channel.
On-board message scheduling, label filtering, and time-tagging capabilities streamline data acquisition and protocol management. The card includes error injection and detection, avionics-level I/O discretes supporting up to 16 inputs and 16 outputs, and independently programmable bit rates for each channel. Discrete outputs switch up to 0.5 ampere and support TTL-to-avionics voltage conversion with open-collector output flexibility.
Optional features include programmable receive level thresholds, adjustable transmit output voltages, IRIG-B receiver/generator synchronization, temperature and voltage monitoring, and ruggedized configurations rated for extended operating temperatures.

Abaco Systems / Condor Engineering CEI520-88 — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Abaco Systems / Condor Engineering CEI520-88. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Abaco Systems / Condor Engineering CEI520-88 faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.
Abaco Systems / Condor Engineering CEI520-88 price
