This unit
The Kontron CP6000 is a 6U CompactPCI embedded computer engineered for demanding industrial, transportation, and defense applications. Built on the Intel 855GME chipset with a Pentium M processor (1.1 GHz LV to 1.8 GHz), it delivers performance equivalent to a 2.6–2.8 GHz Pentium 4 at approximately half the power consumption. The system supports up to 2 GB PC333 DDR SDRAM with ECC, integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 for high-resolution output (2048 × 1536 × 8-bit/60 Hz), and flexible storage via 2.5-inch HDD (SATA/IDE) or CompactFlash. Connectivity includes up to four Gigabit Ethernet ports (10/100/1000Base-Tx), USB 2.0, dual serial interfaces, and one 64-bit/66 MHz PMC slot for functional expansion. The CompactPCI backplane operates at 32-bit/33 MHz (PICMG 2.0 Rev. 3.0 compatible) with optional PICMG 2.16 R1.0 packet-switching support, enabling deployment as either a system master or PCI passive peripheral.

Kontron CP6000 — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Kontron CP6000. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Kontron CP6000 faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.

Kontron CP6000 calibration cost
NIST-traceable calibration for the Kontron CP6000 is $450 (standard — pass/fail certificate and calibration sticker) or $650 (full measured data at every test point, reference standards documented, traceability chain included). Calibration for this instrument covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. Turnaround is 1 to 3 business days after receipt. See full calibration details →
