The EXFO FIP-435B is a high-resolution fiber inspection probe that automates connector end-face analysis across IEC, IPC, and custom compliance standards. Purpose-built for field technicians, it delivers one-step pass/fail inspection with automatic fiber detection, image centering, focus optimization, and integrated reporting. The probe streams live video wirelessly via Wi-Fi to Android/iOS devices running ConnectorMax2 Mobile Software, as well as to EXFO FTB and MaxTester platforms and Windows PCs (7, 8, 10).


Three magnification levels provide detailed analysis of single-fiber and multifiber connectors - from 304 µm × 304 µm fields at high magnification down to 912 µm × 912 µm at low magnification. Focus protection eliminates false positives from improper adjustment. Interchangeable tips support SC, LC, and MPO/MTP connectors, while picture-in-picture visualization simplifies multifiber inspection.


A rechargeable battery delivers approximately 6 hours of continuous operation, and an included USB AC adapter enables charging via Micro USB. For hands-free diagnosis, a dedicated Pass/Fail LED allows operation without a connected display.
