This unit

The Rohde & Schwarz FSU8 is a spectrum analyzer covering 20 Hz to 8 GHz, purpose-built for RF signal analysis, component characterization, and EMC investigations. It delivers exceptional sensitivity with displayed average noise levels down to –158 dBm (1 Hz bandwidth) and phase noise performance of –160 dBc (1 Hz) at 10 MHz carrier offset. The instrument combines wide dynamic range, flexible resolution bandwidth options from 1 Hz to 50 MHz, and a suite of measurement functions including adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR), third order intercept (TOI), and harmonic distortion analysis.

Fast sweep capability - 2.5 ms in frequency domain and 1 µs zero span - enables rapid signal characterization in development and production workflows. External mixer compatibility expands frequency coverage to 110 GHz and beyond, supporting advanced EMC and component testing scenarios.
