The Rohde & Schwarz FSV40 is a signal and spectrum analyzer delivering 10 Hz to 40 GHz frequency coverage with analysis bandwidth up to 160 MHz. Built for RF development, production, and service environments, it combines high-speed measurement capability with 0.01 Hz frequency resolution and 0.4 dB level measurement uncertainty to 7 GHz. The instrument executes phase noise, noise figure, vector signal analysis, analog demodulation, and EMI diagnostics across configurable sweep architectures - from 101 to 32,001 trace points.

Its touchscreen interface enables rapid operation, while optional frequency stability upgrades - including OCXO and ultra-high precision references with aging rates to 4 × 10⁻⁹/year - support metrology-grade applications. The FSV40 extends beyond 40 GHz via harmonic mixer options, reaching 110 GHz.
