This unit

The Anritsu MP1825B is a 4-tap digital pre-emphasis processor that enhances signal integrity in high-speed digital communication systems by applying precise pre-emphasis to compensate for channel impairments. The device minimizes inter-symbol interference and maximizes data throughput through configurable tap weights and emphasis levels, making it essential for characterizing and optimizing high-speed data links.

Technical Specifications Bit rate support ranges from 1 Gbit/s to 14.05 Gbit/s (MP1825B-001), up to 14.1 Gbit/s (MP1825B-001, 005), 28.1 Gbit/s (MP1825B-002 without Doubler I/O), and 32.1 Gbit/s (MP1825B-002, 006 without Doubler I/O). Operation with Doubler Input/Output supports 8 Gbit/s to 28.1 Gbit/s. Bit rates from 28.1 Gbit/s to 32.1 Gbit/s require full-rate clock input; half-rate clock operation is available at 8 Gbit/s to 28.1 Gbit/s. Output specifications include 2 outputs (Data, xData). Data output amplitude is fixed at 0.4 Vp-p minimum and 1.0 Vp-p maximum (MP1825B-002). Peak voltage ranges from 100 mVp-p to 1.5 Vp-p single-ended. Eye amplitude operates between 100 mVp-p to 1.0 Vp-p single-ended with 2 mVp-p steps. DC offset adjustment spans −1.0 Vth to +1.0 Vth in 1 mV increments. Variable data delay (MP1825B-003 or MP1825B-004) provides phase adjustment from −1000 mUI to +1000 mUI with typical accuracy of 50 mUIp-p.
