Emerson / Motorola MVME2400 VME Processor Module

The Emerson/Motorola MVME2400 is a 6U VME64 processor module built on the PowerPlus II architecture, delivering 32-bit PowerPC 750 performance up to 450 MHz for real-time control, data acquisition, and embedded communications in industrial environments. The module combines a PowerPC 750 core with 32 KB/32 KB L1 cache and 1 MB backside L2 cache, scalable SDRAM from 32 MB to 512 MB with ECC, and 8 MB flash memory. It integrates dual 32/64-bit PMC expansion slots supporting up to six PMCs via stacking, 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet, RS-232 debug serial, four 32-bit and one 16-bit programmable timers, a watchdog timer, and an on-board debug monitor with self-test diagnostics. The VME64 interface provides 4-level requester and 7-level interrupter/interrupt handler capability with full backward compatibility to existing VME systems. Two expansion connectors - one 64-bit PCI mezzanine and one for PMC front panel/P2 I/O - enable flexible peripheral integration. The 8K x 8 NVRAM with battery backup preserves critical data across power cycles.
