Advantest R4945 EPROM programmer

The Advantest R4945 is a dedicated EPROM and EEPROM programmer engineered for high-volume memory chip programming in manufacturing and field service environments. It programs MOS-type PROM devices from 16 Kbits to 16 Mbits, with 2 Mbytes of onboard buffer memory and support for multiple manufacturer-specific programming algorithms including AMD, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Intel, NEC, Sharp, WSI, and N.S. The unit delivers automated ROM type and I/O condition setup, comprehensive reliability verification via VCC margin check (dual-point), Voh/Vol level validation, and sum check functions.

Integrated self-diagnostic and manual diagnostic capabilities - including internal memory, system memory, MUP address/data, program voltage, program timing, and serial I/O verification - ensure programming integrity. Data editing functions span insert, delete, complement, block store, move, search, and change operations. Remote control via serial I/O and Centronics parallel interfaces supports integration into automated test environments.

The R4945 accommodates DIP, LCC, PLCC, SOP, and TSOP package types through standard 32-pin × 2 and 40-pin sockets with appropriate adapters. Flash ROM and 3V device programming requires optional socket adapters such as the R4951D or R49451D assemblies.
