The Abaco Systems V5B is a single-slot, 6U VMEbus Embedded PC engineered for computing in demanding embedded applications. It combines IBM PC/AT compatibility with a local PCI bus architecture to deliver real-world performance within a VMEbus environment.

Key Features The V5B leverages a dedicated local PCI bus to minimize latency and maximize throughput in compute-intensive applications. VME64 compliance via the Universe II controller enables high-bandwidth block mode transfers across the backplane. Hardware byte swapping eliminates software overhead for endian conversion in multi-processor VMEbus systems.
