The Abaco Systems / VMIC VMIVME-5588DMA-210 is a single-slot 6U VMEbus board delivering high-speed, fiber-optic reflective memory networking for real-time data sharing across up to 256 independent nodes. Operating at 1.2 Gbaud serial data rate, the board achieves non-redundant throughput of 29.5 Mbyte/s and redundant transfer rates of 14.8 Mbyte/s for error suppression. Equipped with an on-board DMA controller and configurable SDRAM from 256 Kbyte to 16 Mbyte, It has software-transparent data transfer with minimal host processor overhead.
