The Sorenson/Xantrex XHR-100-06 is a 1000 W programmable DC power supply engineered for benchtop and system integration environments. This half-rack instrument delivers 0–100 Vdc across 0–6 Adc, with 600 W available at rated output. Zero-voltage soft switching technology minimizes switching losses and noise while power factor correction reduces input current harmonics across universal AC input (85–250 Vac, 47–63 Hz).


Operators control voltage and current independently via ten-turn front panel knobs, achieving 0.02% voltage resolution. Simultaneous digital display of both parameters enables precise real-time monitoring. The supply operates in constant voltage or constant current modes and includes remote sensing with 5 V line loss compensation for distributed load compensation.


Transient response is fast - output voltage settles to within 0.5% of its initial level within 1 ms during 0–100% load steps. Overvoltage and over-temperature protection circuits safeguard the load and instrument. Analog programming via 0–5 V or 0–10 V sources (or 0–5 kΩ/0–10 kΩ resistance) enables system integration; an isolated programming interface option is available for ground-isolated applications.


Output connectors mount on the front or rear panel to suit system architecture. At AC input below 95 Vac, maximum deliverable power reduces to 900 W. At 120 Vac nominal input, input current peaks at 11 A; at 100 Vac, 13 A maximum.
