This unit

The Agilent/Keysight 1725A is a dual-channel analog oscilloscope delivering 275 MHz bandwidth for precise signal acquisition and analysis in laboratory and field environments. Built around a delayed-sweep architecture with delta time measurement capability, it enables accurate characterization of signal transitions and timing parameters. The instrument provides selectable input impedance - 50 ohm or 1 Mohm - to accommodate diverse signal sources and impedance environments.

Technical Specifications

  • Bandwidth: 275 MHz

  • Channels: Dual (CH A, CH B)

  • Vertical Deflection Factors: 10 mV/div to 5 V/div across full bandwidth

  • Sweep Ranges: 10 ns/div to 0.5 sec/div (24 ranges, 1-2-5 sequence)

  • Input Impedance: Selectable 50 ohm or 1 Mohm

  • Display Modes: CH A, CH B, ALT, CHOP, A+B, A vs. B

Key Features

  • Single marker delayed sweep for time-interval analysis

  • Delta time measurement with reference calibration

  • Amplitude reference lines at 0% and 100% (five divisions apart)

  • Transition time markings at 10%, 20%, 80%, and 90% for rise/fall characterization

  • Flexible display processing with alternate and chopped acquisition modes

  • Dual-channel simultaneous observation and ratiometric (A vs. B) analysis

Typical Applications The 1725A serves pulse and timing measurements, transition time analysis, dual-signal correlation, and impedance-dependent measurements across analog circuit characterization, signal integrity validation, and general-purpose oscillography.

Compatibility & Integration The instrument supports Options 003 and 004. Software integration includes E1741A Time Interval Analyzer Software v2.51 and E1747A Timing Pattern Analysis Software v2.51. VXI mainframe integration is supported via Keysight/Agilent E1421A C-size VXI Mainframe and RadiSys EPC-7 System Controller configurations.
