The Keithley 2000 is a 6.5-digit digital multimeter engineered for benchtop and production testing. Built on proven high-speed, low-noise A/D converter technology, it delivers superior accuracy and measurement speed across voltage, current, resistance, frequency, and temperature measurement functions. The instrument supports internal trigger rates to 2000/s and external triggering to 500/s, enabling rapid data acquisition in multipoint scan/measure configurations with optional scanner cards.
Technical Specifications DC Voltage: 0.1 µV to 1000 V with 0.002% basic accuracy (90-day) and 1 MΩ ±2% input impedance. AC voltage spans 0.1 µV to 750 V RMS (1000 V peak), with linearity of ±(1 ppm reading + 2 ppm range) on the 10 V DC range. Current Measurement: DC range 10 nA to 3 A; AC range 1 µA to 3 A. Common Keithley 2000 faults: blown input fuse, worn input jacks, display segment failure, relay contact wear on bench DMMs. Common faults include worn input jacks (banana socket contact wear on the mA and COM terminals), blown input fuses (especially the 440 mA HRC fuse), and display segment failures. Keithley 2000/2001/2002 bench DMMs commonly develop relay contact wear affecting resistance accuracy after extended service.
