The Keithley 7066 Relay Switch Card is a high-density switching solution designed for automated testing and data acquisition systems. It features a variety of relay configurations, including SPDT and multi-pole options, providing flexibility for signal routing. The card is compatible with Keithley switching mainframes and offers low contact resistance for accurate measurements.
The Keithley 7066 Relay Switch Card is a non-multiplexed switching module that delivers ten independent, isolated channels for automated test and signal routing applications. Each channel employs two-pole relays with user-selectable contact configurations (Form A, B, or C via jumpers), enabling flexible switching topologies without multiplexing complexity. Actuation occurs in less than 2 ms, with contact resistance below 0.1 Ω initially and under 2 Ω at rated life.
Contact potential measures below 30 µV per contact pair, with differential voltage under 1 µV (typical 200 nV within 1 minute of actuation). The card handles signals up to 250 V DC or RMS (350 V peak) at 2 A DC or RMS, supporting 60 W DC or 125 VA AC loads on resistive circuits. Channel isolation exceeds 10⁹ Ω; input isolation (differential and common mode) also exceeds 10⁹ Ω.
Relay life reaches 10⁸ closures under cold switching conditions and 10⁷ closures at maximum signal levels. Relay drive current runs 50 mA to 80 mA typical per relay. The module connects via quick disconnect screw terminals accepting #14–#26 AWG wire.
Measuring 32 mm × 114 mm × 272 mm and weighing 0.28 kg, the 7066 operates reliably from 0°C to 50°C and stores from −25°C to 65°C. It integrates directly into Keithley switching mainframes such as the 7001/7002 series, providing non-multiplexed switching for power-line control, external circuit switching, and applications requiring isolated channel independence without the overhead of matrix multiplexing.
