Abaco Systems / SBS / Greenspring IP-Quad Four-Channel IndustryPack Module

The Abaco Systems IP-Quad is a single-wide IndustryPack module delivering four independent channels of quadrature decoding and general-purpose counting. Each channel provides 24-bit resolution across a 0 to 10 MHz count frequency range. The module accepts differential or single-ended inputs via RS-422 or TTL/CMOS logic levels, with programmable polarity, mode selection, and TTL resistor termination.

Read-on-the-fly capability enables real-time counter access without halting operation. State change detection logic and full modem control line support enhance integration flexibility. Built on the Signetics CMOS SCC2698B architecture, the IP-Quad delivers high-density I/O expansion for embedded systems requiring precision timing and counting functions.

The module entered Restricted Production Phase status as of December 31, 2016.
