This unit

The Fluke 732C DC Voltage Reference Standard is a portable, battery-powered voltage source for disseminating and maintaining DC reference standards in primary and secondary calibration laboratories. It delivers three selectable output voltages - 10 V, 1 V, and 0.1 V DC - each traceable to national standards and the Fluke Calibration 10 V Josephson Array. Engineered for field portability and laboratory stability, the 732C combines long battery runtime with temperature-stable outputs and comprehensive power options for continuous or mobile operation.

Technical Specifications

Output Voltages & Stability

  • 10 V DC: ±2 µV/V per year (Base models); ±1 µV/V per year (Select models)

  • 1 V DC: ±3 µV/V per year

  • 0.1 V DC: ±9.8 µV/V per year

  • Stability specifications apply at Tcal ±1 °C with IN CAL indicator active

  • Outputs referenced to common VCOM binding post Temperature Performance

  • 10 V output temperature coefficient: 0.04 µV/V-°C

  • Accounts for drift when operating outside calibration temperature Power & Battery

  • Internal battery: ≥72 hours minimum runtime at 23±5 °C with 0–0.1 mA total output current drain

  • External DC input (rear panel): 12 V to 15 V DC, ≥300 mA capacity for indefinite operation

  • AC line input: 100 V (90–110 V), 120 V (108–132 V), 220 V (198–242 V), 240 V (216–264 V) at 50/60 Hz

  • AC line current at 120 V: typically 0.13 A

  • Battery charging time: 10,000 MΩ to earth/chassis ground or AC line, shunted by <1000 pF

  • All outputs short-circuit protected indefinitely

  • 10 V output: rated for maximum 50 mA continuous at ≤220 V DC

Key Features

  • Three independently accessible output voltage levels

  • Selectable Select models offer 2× greater stability at 10 V output

  • Long-term stability dominates uncertainty over 30+ day periods

  • Field-deployable with minimal power dependencies

  • High source impedance isolation for sensitive measurement environments

Typical Applications

  • Primary and secondary reference standard maintenance

  • Calibration laboratory voltage dissemination
