This unit
The Keysight/Agilent/HP 82350B is a PCI GPIB interface card that enables direct control of IEEE 488 instruments from desktop and laptop computers equipped with standard PCI slots. The card decouples GPIB transfers from PCI bus operations using built-in buffering, delivering superior I/O and system performance compared to Direct Memory Access (DMA) architectures. It connects up to 14 GPIB instruments in daisy-chain configuration and supports data transfer rates up to 900 KB/s.
Technical Specifications
Interface: PCI GPIB (IEEE 488.1 and IEEE 488.2) with 24-pin IEEE-488 connector
PCI Compatibility: 5V, 32-bit PCI slot (rev 2.1, rev 2.2); not compatible with 3.3V PCI, EISA, or ISA
Data Transfer Rate: Up to 900 KB/s
Instrument Capacity: 14 GPIB instruments (daisy-chain)
Hardware: Xilinx XC2S100 FPGA; Texas Instruments SN75160/SN75162 bus buffers
Configuration: Plug-and-play; software configurable
Key Features
Built-in buffering minimizes transaction overhead
Direct PCI connection eliminates DMA bottlenecks
Hardware-level decoupling of GPIB and PCI transfers
Xilinx FPGA architecture for flexible protocol implementation

Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B — Repair & Calibration Service
Aumictech offers NIST-traceable calibration and repair for the Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B. Calibration covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. All calibrations ship with a NIST-traceable certificate. Turnaround is typically 1–3 business days after receipt.
Common Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B faults: power supply failure (cRIO-9073/9074), C-series slot connector wear, PXI chassis fan failure, GPIB interface failure on VXI controllers, BIOS/EEPROM corruption. NI CompactRIO most common faults are power supply failure on older cRIO-9073/9074 chassis and C-series module slot connector wear from repeated hot-swap cycles. PXI chassis fan failure is the most common wear item — chassis fans are field-replaceable. VXI embedded controllers most commonly develop EEPROM corruption and GPIB interface failure.
Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B price
This Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B is listed at $185. Calibration is available separately from $450. Contact us for volume pricing or if you need multiple units.
Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B calibration cost
NIST-traceable calibration for the Keysight / Agilent / HP 82350B is $450 (standard — pass/fail certificate and calibration sticker) or $650 (full measured data at every test point, reference standards documented, traceability chain included). Calibration for this instrument covers analog input channel accuracy and offset at all gain settings, analog output accuracy, digital I/O logic threshold verification, sample rate and timing accuracy, and trigger and synchronization bus functional verification. NI CompactRIO and PXI chassis also undergo backplane trigger line integrity check.. Turnaround is 1 to 3 business days after receipt. See full calibration details →
