This unit
The ACTIS Computer ADA-08 is a single-size IndustryPack module that integrates data acquisition, analog signal conditioning, and digital I/O into one VITA-4 compliant form factor. It combines three functional blocks: a counter/timer and parallel I/O unit, an octal 12-bit DAC with eight buffered outputs, and a 12-bit plus sign ADC with eight single-ended or four differential inputs. All signals operate at TTL levels, making integration with legacy and modern control systems straightforward.
Technical Specifications

Key Features Eight independent DAC channels eliminate the need for external buffering in most applications. The ADC's on-chip sequence RAM reduces firmware overhead by enabling autonomous multi-channel acquisition. The flexible counter/timer block supports external event counting, PWM generation, and interval measurement simultaneously.
Typical Applications Process control systems, data logging platforms, real-time sensor interfaces, industrial test stands, and embedded instrumentation requiring synchronized analog and digital I/O.
Compatibility & Integration Designed for VITA-4 standard IndustryPack carrier boards such as the VIPC-6400B 6U Quad IP module carrier (rated for 16-bit @ 8 MHz VITA-4 modules). All interconnects and signal standards follow VITA-4 specifications.
